The words that carry us toward each other.

My path began on the front lines of human rights work, where I learned that truth is not abstract — it lives in individual people, in their names, their dignity, and their right to be heard. As a journalist and investigator, I spent years distilling high-stakes human crises into stories that could reach others and move them.

What has stayed with me through all of it is a single conviction: beneath our differences runs a shared human interior — a common current of memory, longing, fear, and hope. Carl Jung called something like it the collective unconscious. I think of it simply as the reason a story told in one language can break a heart in another.

Communication, at its best, is how we reach that shared place. It is how we insist on each other's dignity. That belief is the thread running through everything I have done — from the newsroom to advocacy to the written word — and it is the work I want to keep doing.
